Important Information for current AEA 8th Graders about High School

Dear current 8th grade students, parents/families,
 
We wanted to remind you that the School Choice Application Window for San Diego Unified School District will close on Monday, November 16, 2020. This means the application must be submitted before that date. If you want your 8th grade student to attend a specific high school (which is not your neighborhood school) for 9th grade, you must fill out the School Choice Application online: (https://www.sandiegounified.org/neighborhood-schools-and-enrollment-options). The application is available in both English and Spanish.  Link to the Enrollment Options Guide in English
 
  1. Step 1: Use the School Finder tool to input your address to find schools assigned to your home address: https://www.sandiegounified.org/schoolfinder
  2. Step 2: Fill out the School Choice Application if you would like your incoming 9th grade student to attend a school outside of your neighborhood school: https://www.sandiegounified.org/neighborhood-schools-and-enrollment-options
  3. Step 3: On the School Choice application, our school is listed as “Einstein Academy Middle”
  4. Step 4: You can choose up to three San Diego Unified School District high schools (ex. San Diego High- International Studies, Business/Leadership, and/or Science/Tech, Mission Bay High, Patrick Henry High, La Jolla High, Point Loma High, Kearny High, Clairemont High). For the full list of SDUSD High Schools, please visit: https://sandiegounified.org/schools/high_school 
  5. Step 5: Once you submit the application, you will get an Application ID number. Please take note of this number. 
 
For other schools, such as charter schools or schools outside of San Diego Unified, please visit their websites for more information on enrollment.

Queremos recordarle que la aplicación de School Choice para high schools en San Diego Unified School District se cerrará el lunes 16 de noviembre de 2020. Esto significa que la solicitud debe completarse antes de esa fecha. Si desea que su estudiante de octavo grado asista a una high school específica (que no es la escuela de su vecindario) para el noveno grado, debe completar aplicación de School Choice en línea (https://www.sandiegounified.org/neighborhood-schools-and-enrollment-options).
