Learn to play an instrument with the AEA Beginning Band
Open to all 6th Graders, no experience necessary

What is Band?
Band is a group of student musicians who rehearse and perform instrumental music together. A concert band is under the direction of one or more conductors (band directors). A school band consists of woodwind instruments, brass instruments and percussion instruments.
Beginning Band Meets once a week Before school At 8:00am (days TBD). Rehearsals will consist of small group instruction with others who play your instrument. The beginning Band will perform in one to two concerts throughout the school year, dates TBD.
How to get an Instrument
Instruments can be rented online from Bertrand’s Music and Can be delivered directly to you OR the school. This is the best all around option. You can also purchase an instrument if you would like, or borrow one from a friend or relative. Just be sure that it is in working condition.
- If you are unable to rent or buy an instrument for any reason, a very limited number of instruments can be borrowed from the school on a first come first serve basis. Please mark this on your registration form.

- Choose your instrument
- Fill out the band registration form

Aprende a tocar un instrumento con la banda para principiantes de AEA

¿QUÉ ES LA BANDA?
Una banda es un grupo de alumnos músicos que ensayan y tocan juntos música instrumental. Una banda de concierto está bajo la dirección de uno o varios directores (directores de banda). Una banda escolar se compone de instrumentos de viento de madera, instrumentos de metal e instrumentos de percusión.
La banda para principiantes se reúne una vez a la semana antes de clases a las 8:00 a. m. (días por definir). Los ensayos consistirán en clases en grupos pequeños con otros que tocan tu instrumento. La banda de principiantes tocará en uno o dos conciertos durante el año escolar (fechas por definir).
CÓMO CONSEGUIR UN INSTRUMENTO
Los instrumentos se pueden rentar en línea en Bertrand’s Music y te los pueden entregar directamente a ti o a la escuela. Esta es la mejor opción en todos los sentidos. Si quieres, también puedes comprar un instrumento o pedírselo prestado a un amigo o familiar. Eso sí, asegúrate de que esté en condiciones de uso.

Si por algún motivo no puedes rentar o comprar un instrumento, la escuela puede pedir prestado un número muy limitado de instrumentos por orden de solicitud. Márcalo en tu formato de registro.

- Lee el manual de la banda
- Elige tu instrumento
- Complete el formulario de registro de la banda antes del viernes 26 de agosto.
